Filmmaker Vera Iwerebor went to Hollywood to look for former film divas from the silent era. But she found creepy Randal Malone. It turned out that over the years this horror actor from the B-movie segment had made friends with various ancient Hollywood icons, such as Ann Miller and Ginger Rogers. For his personal benefit, the filmmaker told Dutch film magazines after her return. 'An obscene character.' During the shooting of A Silent Star, Malone lived in film star Anita Page's villa, who died last year but at the time still lived on the first floor. Malone told the filmmaker off the record that he would inherit the villa. As a memento, he gave her a napkin with a print of Page's lips, who seemed too far gone to realise what was happening. Iwerebor claims the atmosphere in the house reminded her of a scene from Psycho.
