A Family

Director: Mees Peijnenburg
Two children lose their footing when their parents' divorce tears the family apart. As everyone takes their own side, brother and sister find a way to hold on to each other.
Eli (14) and Nina (16) watch their familiar world change as their parents' marriage comes to an end. As the family slowly falls apart, brother and sister each withdraw into their own way of coping with grief, anger and uncertainty. The same story told from two perspectives, about a family trying to reshape love and connection. This coming-of-age drama about growing up, family and the search for a place between two worlds received a special mention from the youth jury at the Berlinale.
