A man goes to Copenhagen to visit his former girlfriend who is in hospital. He wanders through the city, musing about the time when he used to live there.
A meditative man's voice tells about a woman in a hospital; both remain invisible. The confining hospital is replaced by locations that induce timeless reflection: along the highway, downtown at night, in the port, by the sea. Director Marten Winters is also responsible for the Friesian voice-over - subtitled in Dutch - and the atmospheric music, alternately speedy as a house beat and calm as a heartbeat.
