For twenty-four years, Mariia Ponomarova’s birthday has started at a Kiev cemetery. Because this day concurs with Victory Day, on which former Soviet republics, including Ukraine, commemorate the victory over Nazi Germany and honour deceased relatives. In this documentary, the filmmaker brings back memories of this tradition.
