Feature film début of stage director Theu Boermans, adapted from a play by Gustav Ernst. When a huge wire factory in a small provincial town goes bankrupt, the curtain also falls for a small family business. The tension among the workers rises ever further, until everyone prevents each other from leaving the storehouse and the situation escalates. Awarded the Golden Calf for Best Feature Film in 1994.
