A one year old boy is listening to a story through headphones. He hears a ten year old boy talk about the changes in his life since he was a baby. Next, fully concentrated, a series of boys and men listen to reflections on life and death, happiness and grief, disappointment and hope, each time by someone who is ten years their senior. Every story in this relay documentary shows what is possible or casts a shadow ahead. In the serene frames, the faces become small landscapes of empathy and anticipation.
