The Dutch digital culture sector has a rich tradition of content-driven and technically innovative productions. This quality is internationally recognised and praised. At the same time, professionals within the sector face tough challenges, especially in the field of distribution and presentation of immersive projects. These constraints often turn out to be structural in nature.
To gain insight into this, a two-part study was launched, coordinated by Moonshot Digital Culture and funded by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science (OCW). During this session, the findings of part two of this research will be presented by, among others, researcher Siuli Ko. Together with the sector, we will discuss the challenges and possible solutions.
The evening will open with an inspiring keynote by Keri Elmsly, who has played a leading role in the development of large-scale immersive experiences for over 25 years. In her lecture, she explores the differences between the free market and the cultural sector - and what these worlds can learn from each other. This will be followed by an in-depth panel discussion led by Dymphie Braun, in which the research findings will be further explored.
The evening will end with drinks - a time to share experiences, get new ideas and meet each other. Prepare for an evening full of insights, inspiration and connection!
