They have shining buttons and nice medals pinned to their chests. They wear belligerent moustaches and confident caps and helmets. These are the soldiers who are about to enter the battlefield of World War I with a confident look in the eyes and belief in their own supremacy. Historical photographs, accompanied by disquieting piano sounds, because in this experimental documentary the theatrical pomp and circumstance contrasts sharply with the devastation and chaos the war machine causes as soon as it starts to move.
