Equally absurdist and real-life, this warm-hearted tragicomedy is about an eccentric family forced to take a fresh look on life. Seen through the eyes of the 13-year-old, over-concerned Monk.

For thirteen-year-old Monk, the youngest child of an eccentric family, the world is a constant source of amazement and concern. His sister Joni is a rebellious adolescent, his father Fabian an artist at odds with himself and his mother Maria is a flamboyant Spanish woman. When they unexpectedly set off for Spain to bid farewell to Maria's ill brother, this not only strains their respective relationships, but also creates some room for beauty, poetry and new perspectives, in this alternately absurdist and sensitive tragicomedy.
