After a stay of sixteen years in the Netherlands, Clara is deported to Nigeria, the country where new travellers dream of a future in Europe. The most daring ones embark on a long journey full of insecurities and risks. From one border to the next, the film follows the Nigerian migrants in their tracks. A protracted mosaic of encounters with hopeful people and with the smugglers, drivers and soldiers they depend on. Capriciousness and danger lurk everywhere. This world is extremely far removed from the offices of the Dutch immigration service.
