Hany Abu-Assad

Hany Abu-Assad (1961, Nazareth) emigrated to the Netherlands in 1980 and co-founded Augustus Film in 1990. His feature début Het 14e kippetje opened the festival in 1998. Paradise Now was nominated for an Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film in 2006.
