Alexandre Alexeieff

Alexandre Alexeieff (1901-1982) was born in Russia. He studied Linguistics in Paris before becoming an artist. After working as an illustrator and stage designer, he became an influential film animator. He acquired international fame, especially for Night On Bald Mountain, an interpretation of Mussorgsky's composition with the same name. He is coinventor of the pin screen animation technique.
