How does man relate to the overall picture? That is a question of perspective and distance. The animated strollers in this film are just as realistic as the light and the dust particles.
Filmmaker Bas Hordijk took his own street pictures as the starting point for this almost photorealistic animation, and chose for explicit compositions, bright colours and a pleasant soundtrack. The light and the movements of people walking by form the leitmotif. The framing is idiosyncratic as well: the film seems to be shot with a smartphone in the vertical portrait mode.
