Worldwide, 1800 physicists from 35 countries are working on one of the the largest experiments in particle physics, the CERN ATLAS detector. This is used with the most powerful accelerator in the world, the LHC, that emulates the circumstances in the universe a fraction of a second after the Big Bang. The film provides a glimpse behind the scenes of this machine 45 metres long and 20 metres high.
