Portrait of seven modern Zen monks. In a temple in the south of France, Josy, Thierry, Fred & Paula, Christophe and Ton & Angie meditate under their Zen master’s guidance. The documentary shows that in 2014 AD, there is no blueprint for monks. One is a dancer, the other a scientist and a third lives in a car and makes money playing music in the Barcelona subway. Some lead busy and hectic lives, which does not seem to square with the calm and serenity of zen. The film was broadcast in three parts.
