Suspenseful thriller in which the young athlete Marie moves in with her new boyfriend in his flat in Left Bank in Antwerp. They have a passionate relationship until Marie finds out that the previous tenant has disappeared. A secret letter turns up. When Marie starts to doubt whether she can fully trust her boyfriend, Left Bank, once envisaged as a dream town, becomes an alienating nightmare. Slowly, Marie loses her grip on reality.
