Directing début is a short documentary about the cheery Kenyan trader Mr. Jackson. On the carrier of his bicycle, he transports a heavy box filled with merchandise. Laden with fruit, salt and matches, the candid Mr. Jackson rides from one village to the next. But the heavy load causes loose spokes and wear to the tyres, thus putting his business and future on the line. Awarded the Golden Calf for Best Short Documentary in 1999.
