Two young men are convinced the world is putrid. They think the consumer society is to blame. As a protest they decide to blow up a supermarket. They set out with a girl to put this plan into practice. However things do not work out as they expected. De nieuwe wereld (The New World) was only screened once at a press showing. It was never released for fear that people would actually commit such acts.
