But the British singer-songwriter himself suffers from severe depressions and is waging a tough inner battle. Medication provides peace, but at the same time it blocks his emotions and his creativity in writing music. This is unacceptable to Borland, knowing he will pay the highest possible price. Marc Waltman’s first long documentary, compiled from extraordinary archive footage, interviews and songs, is about the razor’s edge between heaven and hell that so many artists walk.
