Elaborating on the images and heartbeat of a 24-weeks-old foetus, Al Massad's film of three minutes depicts fifty years of conflict in the Middle East. The leaders and the insurgents, the rhetoric and the drama are portrayed in a flash, alternated by the recording of the young foetus' ultrasound cardiogram. The experimental film describes the worst case scenario for a new birth in this distressed area.
