Associative quest by filmmaker Leendert Pot into his mother's past. Pot travelled through the Czech Republic, Austria and Germany to reconstruct a story about which his mother refused to talk. She didn't want to cooperate on the film. Pot meets his uncle and aunt for the first time while making the film. It shows how different people react to personal and political events and confronts the viewer with the question of whether you can forget the past by remaining silent about it.
