On the occasion of Thérèse Breuls's cremation, his life partner who suffered from multiple sclerosis, Edward Luyken made a collage of images, shot in- and outside, by day and by night, of subjects and people - both while working in a garden and in more stylised situations. And even though we see people who are reading out loud - the only sound we hear is the ripple of the water and a chime-like jingling.
