Documentary about the legendary comic hero Dick Bos, who even after more than sixty years is not forgotten.
Documentary about the legendary comic hero Dick Bos, who even after more than sixty years is not forgotten. Since the first publication of the cheap black-and-white books at the beginning of World War II, hundreds of thousands of breathless people read them. Even today, the adventures of the undaunted private eye evoke a sense of suspense and adventure in many old and young people. The film looks for the secret of the success of the comic books and for the man who invented this comic hero, Alfred Mazure. He not only immortalised Dick Bos in the countless books, but also captured him on film. The documentary also searches for pure Dick Bos fans, including filmmaker Paul Verhoeven, who not only owns and cherishes the complete series, but admits to have been influenced by Dick Bos while making his films.
