Short documentary commissioned by the RVD about the Veersche Gat in Zeeland, which had to be dammed as part of the Dutch Delta Plan, to defend the land against high tides. The fisherman leave and a new lake is formed behind the dike with space on its banks for industry, housing and recreation.
