'Film à sketches' from members of the 1,2,3 Group.
'Film à sketches' in which Renee Daalder, Rem Koolhaas, Samuel Meyering, Frans Bromet and Jan de Bont can be seen as director, scriptwriter, cameraman, sound man and actor in turn. Each sketch focuses on one of the members of the 1,2,3 Group. The film opens with a sketch directed by Frans Bromet. In How Tough Jan Can Be, Jan de Bont poses as e.g. a pilot, moped hero and fisherman. The contribution by Rem Koolhaas comprises the episode Pampering Frans in which Frans Bromet appears as baby. In Renee's Sweetness, Kees (later: Samuel) Meyering portrays René Daalder as a charming maternity nurse. Renee (later: René) Daalder directed the fourth episode, Kees and Compassion. In it, Kees Meyering is portrayed as an exploited worker in the 19th century. Jan de Bont directed the last fragment: Rem and the Queen, that was reason at the time for the film to be banned (for fear of insulting the royal family of a friendly nation). Rem Koolhaas plays a lackey who has an affair with Queen Elizabeth of England.
