For this 26-part series coordinated by Jan Bosdriesz about all facets of life on Curaçao, a team of programme makers was given an opportunity to observe island society from within for a year, after a research team had selected several 'protagonists'. These people, from all layers of the population and with some links to each other, were followed closely with the camera. The island - only 171 square miles in size - has the complexity of a world city but the mentality of a village with a very varied population.
