Love-22-Love

Director: Jeroen Kooijmans
Duration: 84 minutes
Driven by the will to conquer his demons, in Love-22-Love, artist Jeroen Kooijmans pays tribute to art, his love for his wife, and the darkest corners of his own psyche.
In 2002, artist Jeroen Kooijmans wakes up on the psychiatric ward of a hospital in New York. He has been admitted following a psychosis. In the intimate debut documentary Love-22-Love, Kooijmans reconstructs the period leading up to this, and the long journey he undertook in the years that followed. He does so using videos he made of himself and his partner. Love-22-Love shows Kooijmans at his most raw and vulnerable, both in art and in love.
