Five years after the facts, Sylvana Simons and Mitchell Esajas look back on the historic Black Lives Matter protest on Dam Square, Amsterdam. They reflect on the past, present and future of anti-racism activism in the Netherlands. News coverage from the 1990s and the 2000s is juxtaposed with current statistics on structural racism, for example on the work floor, at school, or during police violence. What has changed? With raw emotions and feelings of disappointment and hope, viewers are invited to reflect on and think about their own position.
