HEFT Open Lab Sessions: Revival Roadshow

Revival Roadshow is a 17-minute VR experience set in a speculative future museum. The appraisal of a mysterious artwork triggers a darkly absurd journey through fake news, consumerism, neocolonialism, plastic pollution and the climate crisis. Built from thousands of layered images, the work uses directional sound, with multiple stories competing for your attention at once.

In this session, you'll help test three different ways of introducing the work, followed by a short group discussion. No VR experience is needed for this test session.

HEFT: Heritage for the Future is a collaboration between the Nederlands Film Festival and a broad group of creators and institutions experimenting with immersive experiences: how can they reach a wider audience, and how can they be better preserved? During these Open Lab Sessions, four works in progress are presented to an audience for the first time. Audience feedback contributes directly to the further development of these works.
