This debut follows punk musician Shavero, who organises a punk event for Suriname's alternative community. In the run-up to this event, we follow his perspective on traditional Surinamese culture, and what it's like to grow up somewhere you're not fully understood. Shavero shows how he brings together musicians, young people and outsiders, presenting a Surinamese subculture that rarely gets the spotlight. An ode to counterculture, Suriname and punk music.
