Dimeo van der Horst seems destined for a major basketball career. At fifteen, he takes his first step towards the top, with his mother as his greatest support on the sidelines. When she passes away, Dimeo loses his sense of direction and his love for the sport. Only by confronting his grief can he find the strength to pick up the ball again and continue on the road towards Olympic gold.
