After turbulent times for the film industry, we’re eagerly looking forward to a bright future with new partnerships. On Friday 23 September 2022, the Dutch AV industry will come together at the annual NFF Conference. A wide range of topics will be on the agenda, from inclusion and diversity to fair practice and sustainability, with a variety of case studies.

The NFF Conference is part of the Professionals Programme and one of the few opportunities for representatives of the entire Dutch film sector to meet. After an online edition in 2020 and a hybrid version in 2021, this year we are returning to a physical venue, Stadsschouwburg Utrecht. In a sector-wide programme packed with panels, political discussions, presentations and case studies, we’ll take stock of the past year and look ahead to the future.

An NFF Conference ticket gives you access to three spaces with discussions on a diverse palette of topics, from improving the labour market to activist issues such as representation and accessibility on set. You can take part in inspiring sessions on Korean trends, comedy, NFTs and the use of archive material.

In Speculative Fabulation, Karen Palmer, Dan Hassler Forest and design collective Polymorf will be exploring how the imagination can be a weapon to combat climate change, and economic and political crisis. Documentary makers will be highlighting dilemmas within their field. And as a bonus, with an NFF Conference ticket you can also see Prof Talk: Artsy Eighties! on 1980s production design in recent Dutch productions, from 15:00 to 17:00 in Stadsschouwburg - Grote Zaal.

Join the conversation about topical themes and current policies, meet fellow AV professionals during the closing Professionals Drinks, and discover new inspiration in the field of films, series, documentaries and digital culture. Share your thoughts on the future of the Dutch audio-visual industry – buy your ticket for the NFF Conference 2022 today.
