Kiriko Mechanicus

Kiriko Mechanicus (1995) is a Dutch-Japanese documentary filmmaker, culinary historian, writer and photographer from Amsterdam. She graduated from the Nederlandse Filmacademie, specialising in documentary directing. With her graduation film A Tomato Tragedy, a film that explores the tragic story of migrant workers in southern Italy, she won the Filmfonds Wildcard in 2023.
