A dance company of refugee Ukrainians rehearses a new choreography with private Oleksandr, who lost both legs. Their encounter triggers unexpected inspiration and intense emotions.
A new choreography turns into a confrontational process for the dancers of The United Ukrainian Ballet, founded in the Netherlands by Ukrainians who fled their native country after the Russian invasion. When former soldier Oleksandr, who lost both legs on the front, joins the troupe, his presence stirs up their feelings of guilt and mourning. He becomes a symbol of every brother, father and friend they left behind. With their dynamics and resilience, they bridge the gap between the front row of the theatre and the war front.
