Poignant documentary in which the few remaining eyewitnesses talk about the American nuclear test of the 1950s. After decades of confidentiality, they tell their story for the first time.
While doing research for a feature film, filmmaker Morgan Knibbe (Those Who Feel the Fire Burning, 2014) collected the personal accounts of the few witnesses of the American nuclear tests in the 1950s who are still alive. Their candid testimonies are disconcerting. After more than forty years of mandatory silence, the last ‘atomic soldiers’ talk about their experiences, straight into the camera, in this short, poignant documentary.
