Short, experimental animation film, consisting of various stand-alone fragments. Compiled from different versions of identical images, RIS tells three different film noir-like stories.
A canal lined with mansions, a man silently smokes and a woman sits in her room in the glow of streetlamps. Drops rain down in stagnant water. This short, experimental animation movie full of film noir elements shows different stories in three acts. By colouring the same image differently, drawing something over it or shifting its place in the story, the plot changes. Which act tells which story is completely up to the viewer’s interpretation.
