In the middle of a creative crisis, a young film director is left by his girlfriend. While searching for the essence of his film, he is mainly confronted by himself in a feverish dream indebted to Godard.
While the shooting almost commences, director Alex is still unsure about the essence of his film. But all inspiration seems to have abandoned him. Just like his girlfriend, by the way: she could no longer bear his struggle. Time is pressing, producers are becoming impatient and the boundaries between fiction and reality are blurring by the minute. This playful tragedy clears the way for a hopeless romantic and his attempt to create a film; a theatrical, ambitious film noir about love, growing up, deadlines and inspiration.
