The Afghan capital of Kabul, seen through the eyes of two children and a bus driver. Everyday life goes on, while society is being destroyed by political and religious forces.
In a loose style, this documentary alternately follows a bus driver and two little brothers in the ashen Afghan capital that is permanently shrouded in a cloud of dust. Driver Abas steers his rickety bus through the chaos of Kabul, still regularly the target of terrorist attacks, while creditors are on his heels. When their dad has fled to Iran, the brothers are suddenly the only men in the house. Between the impressions of the protagonists’ everyday life, they talk directly to the camera about their worries, dreams and nightmares.
