Short documentary about our working life in a social-capitalist society. Minimalistic scenes reduce labour to its external, sometimes slightly absurdist appearance.
What does it mean to be a human being in a work-driven society? This personal, socially critical documentary looks at man during a working day: from commuters on their way to work and offices full of employees all identically sitting and typing on their computers, to the constant repetition at the assembly line. The visually minimalistic approach clearly brings out the absurdity of countless tasks. The forty-hour workweek eats up most of our time. Should we really want this?
