Documentary about 42-year-old Matthijs, who years ago found warmth in the gabber scene. But life is not a never-ending party, and loneliness and unrealised dreams fight for priority.
A decade ago, the 42-year-old Matthijs became a gabber. Following a childhood of being bullied and lonely, he found true friendship and warmth in this rather rough looking dance scene, while raving, swallowing and hakking. Nonetheless, this documentary shows Matthijs is still bogged down in a swamp of disappointments. His relationship with his friend René is not really going well and in the daytime Matthijs prefers to stay in the attic, playing with his model trains. But even here, his big dream keeps haunting him: he would really like to become a pianist.
