Black comedy about a naive farmer who finally wants a wife at the age of fifty. As the dumbest son from a line of 14 children, his parents always belittled him. The other children went to study and Gerrit took over the farm. At a bachelor evening, Gerrit falls in love with the folksy Tonia. Tonia, her two sons and a dubious sidekick brimming with creative financial advice can feel their wallets filling with money. After the wedding, the fun for the farmer is sooner over. Tonia and her helpers are only interested in taking money out of the farm. When Tonia's son suggests that turning dairy cattle into beef cattle will generate more cash, they have to go in search of a good breed of cow. They leave for Guatemala.
