In this short documentary, spoken-word artist Sabina Lukovic explores, through conversations with her Montenegrin mother, sister and grandmother, how three generations of women have been shaped by patriarchy.
Sabina Lukovic, a spoken-word artist from Rotterdam, grew up in a Montenegrin family where the expectations for women were crystal clear: a girl who could make pita was ready to get married. Sabina did not become that woman. In this short documentary, she talks to the women in her family to explore how three generations of women have been shaped by a world created by and for men, and what is lost when women fail to meet those expectations.
