Eight-year-old Marie loves her father, and he loves her. That is, when he has not been drinking.
Marie and her father form a family of two. Mother is conspicuous by absence and Boudewijn keeps himself from falling apart by drinking. Sober, he is a sweet man, but when he has been drinking, het is volatile and leaves Marie to fend for herself. She has to jeopardise herself and others to be seen by him. A story about the strength of a child fighting for her dad’s affection.
