In the family business, Wessel (13) learns the butcher’s trade from his grandpa. Still, the boy is in doubt about his future in this youth documentary. Perhaps the teenager prefers to work with living animals. Winner Cinekid Kinderkast Non-Fiction Award.
Wessel (13) used to be teased at school about his father’s profession. He finds this odd. Now, he learns the tricks of the trade from his patient grandfather, who is convinced his grandson will take over the family business later on. But he is in doubt. Perhaps Wessel prefers to work with living animals, after all. Youth documentary offers a glimpse of the traditional butcher’s trade and at the same time shows how free children in rural areas grow up.
