Next to filmmaking, music was Anton van Munster's great passion. In this self-produced film, he follows the Orlando Quartet who perform Franz Schubert's Rosamunde string quartet. Van Munster's observations of the four artists making music are alternated with images of engraving the sheet music on a copperplate and the building of a violin and a cello. Shots of an autumn-coloured forest underline the beauty of Schubert's music.
