Industrial film, commissioned by the United Glass Factories in Leerdam to give themselves more publicity in an attempt to stand up to the competition. While making this film, Bert Haanstra produced and directed his own film Glas (Glass) on the same location, which won several prizes, including an Oscar. The commissioned film is in black-and-white, the free film in colour.
