At a young age, Aicha came to the Netherlands as a unaccompanied child refugee. When the system meant to support her had its boundaries, "bonus mothers" Astrid and Bernice offered her a place at the table, tender care, and a sense of belonging.
In Paas Me Je Ma, Aicha reconnects with the women who took her in during her childhood. Through conversations and her own memories, she explores how these formative relationships shaped her and why love and closeness can still feel complicated to her. A personal documentary about chosen family, attachment, and the people who step up when the system falls short.
