Comic thriller in which Melissa, an imaginative American girl, comes to the Sin City of Europe: Amsterdam. Melissa cannot talk and communicates with sign language. Her father, a businessman with a pharmaceuticals company, is to sign a major contract that night. Just after they arrive in an exclusive hotel, where the famous pop star Manson is also staying, Melissa disappears. After getting lost, she finds herself locked out. She witnesses a murder in the hotel's inner courtyard. She is seen by the killer and sets off running. Do Not Disturb is larded with clichés about Amsterdam. The film also incorporates lighthearted references to previous films by Dick Maas, including De lift (The Lift) and Amsterdamned, which include similar scenes.
