Exciting film for young people based on the novel by Mieke van Hooft. The film tells the story of a 12-year-old boy who is forced to steal ladies' handbags by two older boys who had attacked his grandmother. Fear of reprisals prevents him from talking about events and he increasingly finds himself isolated. In the meantime, the heartless attackers carry on with their baiting and blackmail regardless. When the boy is tormented so much that he steals 500 guilders from a defenceless old blind woman, he realises he has gone too far. He decides to take matters into his own hands and to get even with his tormenters for good.
