Twelve-year-old Marijn is able to transform the most commonplace objects into weird and wonderful pieces of art. The budding artist is admitted to the preliminary programme of the Royal Academy of Art, The Hague. But this also means that for the first time his work will be examined with a very critical eye. How does Marijn cope with the sudden time pressure and the judging eyes of his teachers? And will his work turn out to be satisfactory, so he can continue his training at the Art Academy? A youth documentary about talent, insecurity and willpower.
